VW Kombi Ute: Recently spotted and shot on site was this VW Kombi ute. It’s decked out rather smartly with the wooden sides and is used by a local interior painter. He certainly has great taste in the selection of his work vehicle I must say.
The Volkswagen Club of Western Australia held its annual ‘Day of the Volkswagen’ at McCallum Park on Sunday 4 December 2011.
The weather was uncomfortably hot but despite this, there was good turn out of Volkswagen’s of all shapes and sizes.
This year’s venue was changed from the previous event location which was held at the Burswood G.O. Edwards park to the nearby McCallum Park (in Victoria Park) which I think is an improvement with easier access, better parking and more facilities. Plenty of food and drink was for sale and toilets were located within walking distance. The venue was centrally located which was also a bonus.
The event was naturally dominated by Beetles and Kombi’s, but there were a good showing of beach buggies, Type 3’s and Golf’s.
And now…the pictures of the Day of the Volkswagen!
