Bufori V6i Convertible: It’s my first Bufori I’ve shot in the wild and research tells me this attractive little sports car is a hand built retro styled automobile made in Malaysia by an Australian owned company. It’s got a Buick V6 engine (similar to the one in the Holden Commodore I’m guessing) and host of other off the shelf parts. The company produces around 300 cars per year like this. Who needs big car manufacturers when cars like this are made. Roll on small car manufacturing!
Mercedes 280SE: Looks like it’s been in the family for the past 30 years and now has been handed down to the son who doesn’t appreciate the precise German engineering of the 1970’s. Ahh who knows? Pity about that lost wheel cover otherwise it’s still in good condition. Caught and shot in SS2, Petaling Jaya (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
Proton Saga 12V: Proton is Malaysia’s national car manufacturer, as a consequence Proton vehicles are found everywhere on Malaysian roads. The long running Saga model like the one pictured below is favourite with Malaysian drivers and many are still seen getting around despite being over 20 years old.
So good are these tough little cars that many Saga’s are used as taxis are which shows the extent of their durability Caught and shot near Tasik Temenggor, Perak.
