Datsun 1000 Ute: Real men drive utes… even classic Datsun 1000 utes. This is a real head turner… I love it :-*
Datsun 1200 Ute: It’s blue, small, cute and it’s spelt ute! The front resembles an early Ford Mustang, complemented by the two white stripes which makes the effect more so… it’s a hit!
Toyota Corona CS: A Toyota classic from the 1980’s.There were stacks of these Corona’s on the road back then due to fact they were a top seller. I still see a few of them getting about on the road such as this dark blue example.
Toyota Celica LT 2000: Toyota’s iconic sports coupe started life a long time ago… and is still going. This red LT is a great example of a first generation Celica from the 1970’s. A well styled car. Awesome!
Subaru Sherpa: These tiny cars made by Subaru were often seen on the road in the 1980’s. Not as cute at the famous Suzuki Mighty Boy, but people still loved them. With only 2 cylinders of power they were cheap to run, maintain and license…this is the reason they were an unlikely hit with new car buyers… until they fell apart from over use. Good to see this white Sherpa still on the road and going strong.
Mitsubishi Cordia GSL: This is one of the range of Mitsubishi’s cars from the 1980’s. Probably memorable due to the advert using the tune to Laura Branigan’s ‘Gloria’ but also highly sought after for turbo version which was often the target for car thieves and lead footed drivers. This one ain’t going nowhere fast without wheels baby.
Toyota Corolla KE70 CS-X: A classic Toyota Corolla captured in the local shopping centre car park. This car is crying out to have a mean turbocharger fitted… but first the bumper needs fixing.
Datsun 280ZX: One of the famous Datsun Z cars from the 1980’s. This 280ZX has the black and debadging treatment.
Daihatsu Charade G10: First Gen Daihatsu Charade…not many of these early models left on the roads these days. Shoot first, ask questions later.
Datsun 1600 GL: So blindingly bright, it nearly blew the sensor on my camera…but I couldn’t miss shooting this classic Datsun from the 1970’s.
