FIAT 2000 Spider: Regular FIAT 124 Sport coupes occasionally can still be seen around. However, the convertible Spider version is a lot rarer. I was so glad to get a shot of this awesome black 2000 Spider.
Toyota Corona CS: A Toyota classic from the 1980’s.There were stacks of these Corona’s on the road back then due to fact they were a top seller. I still see a few of them getting about on the road such as this dark blue example.
Mercedes 240D: The usual high quality and bullet proof W123 class Mercedes that keeps on going and going. Roof rack and tow bar makes it a little more versatile for odd jobs and trips to Bunnings.
Subaru Sherpa: These tiny cars made by Subaru were often seen on the road in the 1980’s. Not as cute at the famous Suzuki Mighty Boy, but people still loved them. With only 2 cylinders of power they were cheap to run, maintain and license…this is the reason they were an unlikely hit with new car buyers… until they fell apart from over use. Good to see this white Sherpa still on the road and going strong.
1980 WB Statesman Caprice: Everything came to screaching halt when I spotted this Holden WB Statesman. I like the original condition this Statey is in, probably a paint respay job at one stage but otherwise bloody great. Too good to be towing a 6×4 box trailer.
Holden VL Commodore Calais: One on the better Holden Commodores from the 1980’s. Well preserved, still licenced and best of all…still there.
Mitsubishi Cordia GSL: This is one of the range of Mitsubishi’s cars from the 1980’s. Probably memorable due to the advert using the tune to Laura Branigan’s ‘Gloria’ but also highly sought after for turbo version which was often the target for car thieves and lead footed drivers. This one ain’t going nowhere fast without wheels baby.
WB Statesman Series II: At over 30 years old, this WB Statesman looks fresh off the production line. Football, meat pies and WB Statesman’s still rule.
Mercedes 560SL: At last, classy cars are back and I’m shooting them. This red 560SL proved to be a good target. Opulence never goes out of style!
Datsun 280ZX: One of the famous Datsun Z cars from the 1980’s. This 280ZX has the black and debadging treatment.
