Vauxhall Velox PB: Apparently, they were not slow, but any car in battle ship grey can’t be fast. This Velox features a 6 cylinder engine and Hydramatic auto transmission which was quite reasonable for its time. I note the front almost has a Holden EJ / EH style about, but perhaps I need glasses. Bravo for this Velox still going strong!
Borgward Isabella Coupe: Our photographers have again caught and shot this rare German marque from the 1960’s. This is the first time I’ve seen a Borgward Isabella. The car certainly looks stylish enough, though the name, Borgward I find somewhat unappealing and Isabella sounds even less inspiring for a car like this… perhaps one of the many reasons Borgward went out of business. Thanks to Avon Service Specialist of Northam for allowing us to take these photos
1967 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Coupe: Another scoop from Brakehorsepower’s roving photographers….this time we’ve caught and shot this interesting 1967 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Coupe. This car is RHD, unregistered and in un-restored condition. Looks like the owner has himself a winter project (perhaps spring, summer, autumn and winter again). Very nice indeed!
Holden EH Sedan: This EH Holden is restored with style and elegance that includes a superb choice of colour and alloy rims but at the same time retaining much of the originality. Now that’s a real special EH Holden.
Holden HK Premier: The sun is slowly setting on the this very orginal classic HK Premier. Appears to be equipped with a humble 186ci engine. Ripe for restoration in the right hands this one.I very pleased about shooting this Premier.
Ford Cortina Mk 1: Cortina Mk1’s were a miracle car when first released in the 1960’s. Roomy, comfortable and with a spritely yet economical engine. Subsequently, it become a best seller of it day. This four door version is still going strong… great to see one of these still roaming in the wild.
Valiant VE Safari Wagon: A classic VE Valiant Safari wagon from the 1960’s. Good to see one of these again. The bonnet scoop is an interesting addition to this car.
1968 VW Baja: An off-road variant of the famous VW Beetle. It’s made up of fibreglass body panels and an engine protruding rudely from the rear and heavy-duty suspension to name a few of the modifications. I declare it as a hit!
1962 Holden EK Special: Well this EK looks somewhat audacious in the red paint job and as a result was turning quite a few heads (another medical cluster of neck injuries in this area no doubt). Otherwise stunning!
Mustang Fastback: All aboard for the pony express….tickets please! A nicely restored Ford Mustang from the 1960’s.
