1960 Chrysler Royal: Sometimes you hit gold, just like when I spotted this rare 1960 Australian made Chrysler Royal. A chat with the owner, John, tells me he discovered the car in a shed in Victoria where it had been sitting for the last 45 years. He has since lovingly restored the car to virtually new condition and has spent a small fortune doing so.

The car was built in Keswick, South Australia and was popular with wealthy farmers and South Australia Police at the time.

It features a 313ci V8 engine and a Torqueflite push button auto transmission. The original 1965 Victorian rego sticker can still be seen on the windscreen as with the “Australian Made” boomerang sticker on the rear window which is pretty cool.
